ADVANCING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH RESEARCH
As part of my commitment to advancing sustainable development through research, I am currently working with a PhD scholar and academic mentor on a research paper that examines sustainable practices and the social impact of upcycling textile waste. The study explores how circular economy initiatives can reduce environmental waste while simultaneously empowering local communities by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for women artisans. Drawing on the work and outcomes of Threads of Change, the research analyzes the environmental benefits of textile upcycling alongside its economic, cultural, and social impact. Through this project, I hope to contribute meaningful insights to the growing body of research on sustainability and demonstrate how grassroots initiatives can drive scalable change. The paper is expected to be completed and submitted for publication in the second half of 2026 and is intended for publication in an internationally accredited peer-reviewed journal, enabling its findings to reach a wider academic and global audience.

I am deeply passionate about sustainability, the circular economy, and creating meaningful social impact through community-led initiatives. Through Threads of Change, I hope to show that sustainability is about much more than protecting the environment — it is about empowering communities, preserving cultural traditions, and proving that small, thoughtful actions can create lasting social and environmental change.
